17th Hot Air Balloon Festival (Tour 168)

Heads up for another OCLA! Our Air Transport Management’s (Tour 168) class decided to go to Clark for the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. Thank God because it’s cheaper.

So we met at 0130am at school. I didn’t go home Friday and just stayed and watch a movie at Jewela’s boarding house. I was asleep halfway through the movie, Change Up.

I thought the balloons will be assembled before the sun rises, I was a wee bit disappointed that it wasn’t. Anyway, they’re nice. I think I just expected a little more.

After the hot air balloons were all blown/lit up or whatever, it got boring and there were a lot of people! A heck lot, to say the least.

We went to DMIA or the Diosdado Macapagal International Aiport and listen to the VP or something about the developments and the future of DMIA. As we know, it will be the next big thing. It maybe the main airport of the country considering the opportunity for expansion and all that. Then we toured the small airport. I was surprised they had this space already for Departure. The last time I was here, they don’t have these air bridges and these new structure.

We had lunch at Gerry’s Grill SM Clark after.

Then we went to Omni Aviation, a flying school and toured around. I know this before but I was still shocked to see a pilot’s tuition fee! It will cost you millions to be a one.

A simulator for flying a plane!

Our last stop was Zoocobia. It wasn’t for us, it’s for the kids.. so we didn’t quite enjoy it.

It was a tiring trip and we were all too sleepy because of the early rendezvous!
